Zardari’s New Plunge
The meetings of legal committee for the judges is just an eyewash and a deceptive curtain for the nation. The real issues are being offered and discussed on the sidelines of these. Zardari has almost agreed to the restoration of the judges, and as PML-N is sadly showing flexibility on this issue and has agreed to retain the PCO judges of Musharraf, it seems that something will come up before 12th May.
But Asif Ali Zardari, the co chairman of PPP is asking for some guarantees and he has asked Nawaz Sharif to ensure through Aitzaz Ahsan, that chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary won’t come and start hearing cases against NRO and other government things and also that Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry won’t take suo moto actions.
Asif Ali Zardari wants to dictate the judges and if PML-N bows in front of him then it would highly unfortunate. PML-N is acting as the last ray of hope for the nation and if they are also sold out due to the pressure from Anne W. Patterson, than it would be hell day for Pakistanis.
If Judges have to be restored this way, then they better remain deposed.
