Women vs Men - Can they be compared?
Comparing men and women is wrong. They are two distinct beings physically, psychologically and spiritually. This is the reason why women tend to have more patience, and are more loving and caring than men.
Allah expects team work from men and women but does not compare them and their capabilities. For example if a person is appointed as the captain of the cricket team, it does not mean that he is the best player. This is exactly the same case with men and women. Allah never compared men and women. The Quran has clearly given separate responsibilities to each of them. No where does Allah compare or equate or discriminate men from women.
Women feel oppressed because they always keep comparing themselves with men. This indicates that they themselves feel they are inferior to men. Women should stop comparing themselves to men and concentrate on their own duties and responsibilities as stated in the Quran and they will command their own recognition and respect.
Men are superior to women in some fields and women are superior to men in some fields so it is useless to compare them. Moreover, such a comparison will lead to unnecessary havoc. Its all about doing our respective responsibilities as ordered in Quran and Hadith.
Allah does not discriminate women and men. His judgment and treatment is same for both of them but he has given separate responsibilities to men and women because they are two separate beings.

I totally agree with you..
when I saw the heading of the page, i was like here goes another senseless debate declaring one better over another…
Just like you can’t compare food and water…
same goes for men and women…
and those who go comparing… waste their time. Period

That is an excellent example.

I’m a Christian and I fully agree with you. Good thing we have something like this in common.
