Will Taliban return?
Certain things are usually considered as bad omens, never to be discussed or some what taboo if i use this word in the right sense…the same feed back is recieved when the question of a Taliban (zaliman) come back espècially in swat is taken up.
The perception is not at all based on just some writing on the wall, but infact it is the trend which we have seen in Afghanistan even. After being cornered to the snow covered peaks in winters, they have always managed to regroup and attack usually termed as “summer offensive”,as the condition suits them in their type of warfare.
As I referred earlier to this as a bad omen because of its implication, this cannot be ignored. During a recent conversation with a native who has seen all, I was struck by his words that “dont count them out, there backers can make them return with tanks even!”….hmm.
We are one proud nation as we have the best troops nd also the bravest people who stood against the bandits turned Taliban, but with so many judicial, political struggle mixed with conspiracies taking place, a leadership which is yet to display mere common sense, top ranking terrorist on the run, their financial trail yet to be exposed and an army whose front line is stretching day by day….may be its better that this question may b asked or atleast considered……May ALLAH bless this land of pure and its heavenly valley’s like swat….AMEEN

No space for them left now I would say. The pak military operations has destructed their hubs but what is important now that the US grant specifically for S. wazirstan should be utlised at the best level to avoid them also in the future.

Hend: “finally you had to accept that Youhanna had to convert from Christianity to Islam just to survive.” Please read my comment again. I did not accept it, I just said it might be true (a different thing altogether). Let me tell you that I do not like people who change their religions (even if they convert to Islam) just to advance their careers. Why Youhana converted only he can tell, but from what I’ve heard, he really thought the rest of the players wouldn’t accept him as captain. Again, this may not be the real reason, it’s only what I’ve heard.

>>>Religion which enjoins peace? how? by first subjugating people, demanding jazya, discriminating on the basis of religion (as long as Muslims are not attacked???), demanding 4 witnesses from a woman who was raped, whipping small girls, stoning people, stop joking…no one will be fooled by such crap.
@Hend: Once again you tie the wrong doings of a few Muslims with Islam. There is a reason why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, so take your useless propaganda somewhere else. Many Hindus have converted to Islam and still continue to do so. How about you talk about the barbaric nature of Hinduism.

Hmmm. You guys. You can’t blame a whole religion for the evil deeds that a few boneheads who claim to follow it have done. No religion on earth is that consistent and cohesive, and they all have a minority of young hotheads, and old ones, who will do stupid things.
I’ve always been wary of following a herd, or joining a group, or side-lining my own personal judgment in favor of the group’s notions, whatever it stood for. People will do wicked things in the name of a group, dodging their own personal responsibility for their evil acts. Have you ever noticed that all persons who work in life-and-death situations, such as police, nurses/doctors, soldiers, etc., wear uniforms so that their individual identities are camouflaged by their identities as parts of the group, and they can get away with questionable acts that they couldn’t get away with as individuals? Seems to be a human universal.
Formula for IQ of a group= IQ of dumbest member divided by number of members. You can substitute “smartest member” for “dumbest member” and still get a depressingly low dividend.

Shakir, you are following a familiar trend. Whenever muslims indulge in wrong doing, you guys say ‘these people are not true muslims, and islam is religion of peace’.
The fact is Taliban are following the purest form of Islam, which does not recognize any other religion, which calls for destruction of other’s symbols of worship, which calls for holi war jehad in the name of Allah the almighty.
Religion which enjoins peace? how? by first subjugating people, demanding jazya, discriminating on the basis of religion (as long as Muslims are not attacked???), demanding 4 witnesses from a woman who was raped, whipping small girls, stoning people, stop joking…no one will be fooled by such crap.
finally you had to accept that Youhanna had to convert from Christianity to Islam just to survive. If this happens to a cricketer, imagine the fate of other ordinary people of minority. This proves your claims are hollow.

Hend: “Taliban are just like that because they are simply following the quran and true islamic principles”. This proves that you know nothing about Islam (the religion which enjoins peace, even among Muslims and idol-worshipers, as long as Muslims are not attacked). The Taliban are bandits who are using the name of Islam to kill those who do not follow their perverted version of the religion.

Hend: “The best batsman of the Pakistani team was a Christian but he had convert to Islam just to survive in the team”. Well, you may be right in this case, but there is a Hindu in the team who has not yet converted, and there have been Christian in the past who have remained Christians (like Antao D’souza, Wallis Mahias and Duncan Sharpe).

Hend: the coach (Woolmer) was found to have died of natural causes although Indian media at the time tried hard to convince the world that he had been murdered by Pakistani cricketers. As for the killers of Daniel Pearl, it’s never been proved that the man releases from an indian jail was involved.

Spratt
AND forgot to mention that the English coach of pakistan cricket team was found murdered in his hotel room in the caribbean just after pakistan lost a match in the world cup to Ireland…pakistani cricketers were named suspects by the police in the caribbean…later released after a lot of behind the scenes negotiations.
wrong topic?….OOPS!
Now test you knowledge here…
One of the persons who murdered American journalist Daniel Pearl in Pakistan was actually in a jail in India before the Pakistan/ Taliban back hijack of Indian plane to secure his release. Upon being released, he was addressing public rallies in Pakistan and was given a grand welcome there. His current status? Pakistan government says, they don’t know where he is…kind of like Osama I guess.
