Who Are Bloggers
Who are the bloggers exactly? Are they introverts or are they keyboard-happy jerks? Are they loners or are they lunatics? Are they shy and coy writers or are they the rejected ones? Are they the ones, who always erect their own palace, or are they the ones, who want some online community?
One may imply that bloggers share a community focus. Others may suggest they are individuals in search of self esteem and social recognition. In a recent study, by using blogpulse search engine, interestingly enough, it is found that in blogs “I” is being used three times more than “we” (”I” is found in about 0.45% of all posts, while “we” is being used in 0.16% of all posts).
A blog is usually written by a single person. He or she is more likely to use “I” than “we”. The framework of communication is responsible for this situation, not the characteristics of bloggers themselves.
It is this intimate characteristic of blogs that differentiate it from the other modes of communication. People reflect themselves in their blogs. It has given new dimensions to the expressions and freedom of speech. It has done wonders in the enabling the common people to let the world know, what they think about it.
