Where is 18th Feb?
One thing is for sure, that Pakistani people would now hardly get a chance like 18th February, 2008. Their dreams are shattered and their hopes are busted. Just due to the master piece of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) bestowed upon Asif Ali Zardari.
Asif Ali Zardari is a playboy-turned-politician and once he was notorious for his horses, and now he is notorious for his promise-breaking. Makhdoom Amin Fahim, must be nodding in agreement after reading this sentence. Zardari has now plate-in-plate with Pervez Musharraf and the new appointment of Salman Taseer in Punjab is yet another grim reminder of the upcoming tough days.
With PML-Q realigning itself with the PPP on the direct and strict orders from the presidency, PPP’s new governor and the senior minister Raja Riaz in Punjab are meeting with Manzoor Wattoo and other forward blocs of PML-Q to complete the numbers in Punjab, just in case.
They have also prepared a flexible strategy to deal with the lawyers movement, and the plan is to diffuse this movement through sweetners and to put the blame on the Punjab government. Rehman Malik would play an instrumental part in this.
