Nice post. Although, I would not term it as handicap, rather it's more attributed towards lack of knowledge and efforts. Most of the bloggers in Pakistan are either blogging as hobby or they are casual bloggers posting once in a while. There are few serious bloggers around who spent time on monetizing their blogs.

Contrary to common belief, earning online is not a piece of cake. Like any physical business it require investment in terms of time and resources. Traffic is life and blood of a web site and one has to work hard on the content, presentation and promotion to generate traffic which may lead to revenue streams. Most of us start their web projects enthusiastically but dump the idea after getting no result in short time. I believe that persistence is the key.

While Pakistani bloggers may not fetch same advertisers and rates as their western or even indian counterparts, there is still good money to make, provided topic and content is selected with care.
