It’s not hard to guess, what America really wants from the world. It wants its continued supremacy, and it wants all the world’s resources at its disposal. For that to happen, it supports democracy in Iraq, and for that it supports dictatorship in Pakistan. For that it sanctions Israeli aggression, and for that it allows the subjugation of West Bank.

If they need it, they would support the dictators to fight their wars. They would arm them from head to toe, and shower all the dollars in the world. They would close their eyes from the nukes, and they would keep their eyes shut over the gross violations of human rights, if they need the support of some tyrant. If they need them, they would approve of a supposedly friendly dictator nipping democracy in the bud.

They presumably consider themselves ‘Brahmans’ and rest of the world ‘Shooders’. Their reasoning is ‘’we are better than them’, and this reasoning is exactly how the Nazi’s rationalized their points of view that eventually led to genocide of the Jews and Gypsies. Due to this reasoning they don’t think in their heart that the developing countries really need democracy, and due to that engraved mindset they support tyrants and dictators in the third world. Due to this very reasoning their support goes to President Musharraf, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and so on and so forth.

They are now always on a lookout to identify ‘a free pass’ to enter any developing country. They don’t really care about the authenticity of the pass. If they don’t find any plausible pass, they create one. In Iraq they created WMD, in Afghanistan they created Osama Bin Laden, in Iran they are hyping nukes, and in Pakistan they are trumpeting the fear of nukes going in the hands of extremists.

The thing is that the think tanks sitting in the confusing cubicles of Pentagon are plain idiots with glossy credentials. They don’t know a thing about the ground realities in Pakistan, yet they don’t get tired off theorizing about it.

The mess in Pakistan has nothing to do with Islamic extremists. The Supreme Court, which in Pakistan has long been considered a check on military power, was going to tell Musharraf that he couldn’t be President any more. He didn’t much like that, so he suspended the Constitution, had his apparatchiks raid the Supreme Court building, and made up some crap about a threat from Islamic extremists to feed to the US & foreign media.

And guess what? They devoured the crap. They have forgotten Shah, Batista and Saddam.
