No matter how much hard I looked, I see plummeted spirits of Pakistani nation. There is a prevailing sense of depression, apathy, indifference and uncertainty from Khyber to Karachi and from Quetta to Bannu. Why is that so?

The thing is that we don’t have any vision in sight. We don’t have any long term ambitions. We don’t know how to survive let alone how to transform ourselves from developing to a developed country. Who gives that vision, that goal to the nation? Who steers the ship of the nation to the shores of certainty, progress and glory? It’s the leaders.

The problem with us is that we are no more producing leaders. In fact, it’s been a long time; we saw any leader in the fatherland. Its not that Pakistani soil is not fertile for the leaders, it’s just that galloping horses from the GHQ don’t let any leader flourish in the country. But we need such a leader, who could rise above these shackles, and who could really turn the dust into glory. Who could revitalize the nation, and who could run mercury in every nook of the country.

If Mao had said it, he would have said that we need a leader who could throw ropes around the stars in the stormy heavens, and who could clasp the turtles in the deep seas.
