Benazir Bhutto Assassination

Unaware PPP

Though with all the promises, roses, hopes and fanfare chief of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has announced that the resolution to reinstate judges would be presented on 12th May (reminds me of 12th May, 2007 when MQM massacred the people who came to welcome Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary on Jinnah Terminal, Karachi airport), the picture looks bleak.

Bleak in the sense that Pakistan People’s Party, the other partner in the coalition and the signatory of Bhurban Declaration seems unaware and disinterested in the 12th May deadline. The spokesman of PPP, Farhatullah Babar has shown his unawareness that the sacked judges including chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary would be restored on 12th May.

What game these activists of PPP are playing? First they did politics on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, and now they are doing politics on the future of Pakistan which is strongly tied up with the reinstatement of the judiciary of apex courts.

This is the last time people of Pakistan have given their loyal and genuine mandate to PPP.

Why should Zardari & people like him want an independent judiciary? How will they go on looting the poor people of this country if there are judges like Iftikhar Choudhry to stop them? There is no future for Pakistan if corrupt people like Zardari are elected by the people.
