UN Bodies For Nothing

Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon is apparently a naive man for the current affairs an the on going international hegemonic politics, or he is just yet another earless and blind Secretary General of the United Nations, whose only task is to remain silent and act as puppet.

His current visit to the war-torn Afghanistan is devoid of any solid outcome and his current visit to Pakistan is also nothing more than eyewash.

Ban Ki Moon must acknowledge the role of Pakistan in the regional and world politics and the way Pakistan has given sacrifices for the war on terror. He must also means his words that a prosperous Pakistan is in the interest of all. The Secretary General of the United Nations must understand that Pakistan has done most for the peace in the world.

Ban Ki Moon has also at last announced a commission which would look into the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. The modalities of the commission, its scope, structure, nature, terms of reference including the key questions of authority, access, time frame and financing were firmed up last month after long consultations with the government. The commission is expected to submit a report within six months.
