The current “emergency”, our youth and Harry Potter
Our youth is doing great in schools. They might be young but they think clever. A recent report by a local newspaper shows how students compared Harry Potter’s characters with Mushy and Shokky
The children compared General Musharraf and the military’s take over as the one conducted by Voldemort and his death eaters, while Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was likened to Harry Potter and the lawyers are Harry’s friends.
They compared Musshy with Lord Voldemort, the villan of the story and Shokky to Thackneize, who was the prime minister of the wizards appointed by Voldemort and was put under the imperious curse.
Wikipedia describes the Lord Voldermort as “the main enemy of Harry Potter, who according to a prophecy has the power to defeat him. The wizarding community fears him so much that they refuse to refer to him by his name, instead saying “You-Know-Who” or “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.” Even his followers only refer to him as “The Dark Lord“.” Interesting enough!
PTV was reffered to as “the Daily Prophet” which was the newspaper circulated in the Wizard world while other news channel (that have been blocked on cable in Pakistan) were “The Quibbler” which used to report news that was not favorable to Voldermort (Musshy).
Benazir was thought to be the witch of the evil ministry and was a constant source of giving hard time to Harry Potter. (Who could be the Harry Potter:))
Some considered BB to the faithful Bellatrix Lestrange, who was in good books of Veldormort.
Seems like teh new generation is aware of what is going on in the country which is a good sign, we are preparing this genration for being good leaders or at least good analysers of the right and the wrong. The question is will there be a Harry Potter to save us? or will we all be in prision for the expression of thoughts, for loving our country and for writing papers which we ought not to be against any “person” (Oh seems like I’m in the Wizard’s world too and cannot take the name) but in favor of our beloved country, Pakistan.
May Allah guard our country against any damages to it’s virtue and may Allah protect all the country men against any hardship. Amen.
Long Live Pakistan.
