Thar coal extraction awarded to Indian (not Chinese) company!

After years of negotiations with the Chinese, the PPP government has suddenly awarded the contract to extract Thar coal to an Indian company (Mittal)!

The following is from Moin Ansari’s article “PPP sellout to India’s Mittal: Why Chinese not chosen for Thar Coal” from (rupeenews.com):

“There is a huge issue in Pakistan that is not being discussed in the Pakistani National Assembly and the Pakistani Senate.

Without explanation the Sindh Government all of sudden has awarded the Thar Coal extraction to an Indian company Mittal. This despite the ongoing negotiation with China which would not pose a security risk to Pakistan. Without much discussion the PPPP government amended the laws so that Indian companies could begin investing in Pakistan. Successive Pakistani governments over the past six decades have avoided Indian manipulation of Pakistani economy by prohibiting investments in Pakistan.

Bangladesh is paying the price for allowing the Indian private sector into India. Every Indian company comes with its RAW agents. In fact every office of an Indian company becomes an office of RAW.”

So now we should expect militant activity in the Thar area as well!
