State’s Assassination

A nation blessed with one leader confirms a changed fortune. Unfortunately we have been blessed with several but could not identify them at the right time and became there killers in one way or the other. Pakistan was a hope and its creation was accompanied with many more. The independence not only secured the Muslims of sub continent but also made them believe that one can achieve anything if the hope is there and does not deprives itself from continuing the struggle and hope.

Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Allama Iqbal, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and many more were the leaders that blessed Muslims of India before partition. So magnanimous was their contribution that an ill fated nation succeeded to reach there unseen destiny.

The journey did not end with the creation of Pakistan. We still were given golden opportunities to change not only ourselves but the world. Leaders like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto processing a vision to change the fate of entire Muslim world could not rescue the Titanic with passengers that were Muslims. His ambitions were not limited to make Pakistan a global power rather he envisioned a world where all Muslim nations weak and strong were to make an “Islamic Confederation”. So strong was his believe and so much was he optimistic that he proposed a skeleton plan of such confederation in Los Angeles at University of Southern California on April 1st, 1948. He said, “Today I am as hopeful of an Islamic Confederation as I was of the creation of Pakistan before the division of India.” But not only was he faced a political assassination, his nation today is also facing a slow assassination by no one other then its own rulers. Pakistan has no doubt taken several steps forward towards maturation but has also continuously made successful plans to assassinate the one who could contribute more bringing a risk to the power of elites.
