Snail Politics
In the past few weeks, many news reports have appeared regularly in the media about the excruciatingly disappointing status of a clean transfer of power from the previous government to the new government, and to top the bad things the way PML-Q leaders are thronging in the presidency is giving creeps to the people of Pakistan.
Not only the PML-Quisling leaders are doing traveling to the President House to get further directions and guidance they are also trying to snatch whatever left in the power of President. People like Hamid Nasir Chattha and Manzoor Wattoo are always ready to replace the Chaudharies of Gujrat and same is the case with people like Humayyun Akhtar.
A common observation pertinent to these power games in Islamabad to different parties and different individuals is the snail pace of progress in making the next setup. Though PPP has managed to snatch the throne of Balochistan from PML-Q, it’s own position in the center is getting suspicious and weaker day by day, and it’s not good for the party and for the country.
Whatever they do in the parliament is the thing of next week, but for this moment they have to clear the mist and they must now announce the Prime Minister, which would more than likely be Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
