Shoe Treat for Arbab Rahim
Pakistan People’s Party is famous for it’s jiyalas. The hubbub, frenzy and indiscipline of jiyalas could be seen in full bloom on the birthday of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto when jiyalas even tear apart each other clothes just to get a mouth full of cake piece.
Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the former chief minister of Sindh was considered as a cake by Jiyalas when he came to take oath for his provincial assembly seat. He was treated with shoes and sandals, and I was especially amused to see that fat lady on the left side falling all over the men to just touch the dear doctor with her huge sandal.
It is also said that jiyalas also threw some obscene remarks at the female members of MQM and MQM didn’t enjoy them much. Though they were later asked to return pleadingly by the PPP’s leader like Qaim Ali Shah and Nabeel Gabool. But indecency with Arbab Rahim? No sir MQM cannot tolerate that, not at all.
When the marriage of PPP and MQM was done at the sacred Nine Zero, it was decided that all the rifts will be decided quietly in the speaker room. When today’s problem arose, MQM just stood up and left for Nine Zero and then they boycotted the assembly session till further order. So much for the reconciliation.
