Sher Afgan Niazi Becomes Hero
The vicissitudes of the times are very cruel and interesting things. Sher Afgan Niazi, Wasi Zafar, Chaudhary Shujaat, Pervez Elahi, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and other shameless lotas of PML-Quisling were like a curse for the nation yesterday, and today these curses are once again lecturing the nation upon democracy and it’s values.
What a shame and what a pity. The despicable torture meted out to Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi was a shameful incident, but it’s fast becoming clear that it was a well-knitted and engineered melodrama which was hatched somewhere in Islamabad and controlled from the Governor House Lahore.
The images of Sher Afgan Niazi being thrashed by an unruly band of lawyers and non-lawyers and UFO activists in Mazang Road Lahore are still fresh in the minds of people and these images are giving a very bad name to the lawyer movement as TV channels are flashing some of the most disturbing images of people beating, abusing and humiliating a former minister.
That has only benefited the PML-Q and their patron Pervez Musharraf.
