Courtesy to Maulana Diesel, who gave ample time to Mr. Ameer Muqam to arrange a no confidence movement against the chief minister of NWFP, now assembly is fairly sure to remain intact up till 6th October. What does Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman think us? Foolish, illiterate and a blind follower of him? We are not living in the hinterlands of Dera Ismail Khan or Tank. We know what he is upto.

He for prime minister? God forbid. Prime minister should at least be presentable. First the same Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman conspired with General Musharraf in the wake of 17th amendment, then he has been playing a crucial role in dividing the opposition, and he has been the central figure who made ARD impotent. He has been in coalition with government in Balochistan and NWFP, and he has been enjoying other benefits from other means. What sort of morals he has got? What a spectacular display of hypocrisy. He never wanted to resign from NWFP assembly. Why he waited for these days is incomprehensible, yet so understandable.

Now opposition in NWFP has presented no-confidence movement against chief minister Akram Khan Durrani and have also entered a petition in Peshawar high court against the dissolution of assembly. Political scene is becoming gravely interesting day by day. President Musharraf is committed to contest the presidential election in uniform and now he hasn’t got any obstacle in his way, and lawyers and All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) has decided to agitate against this decision.

But APDM still lacks the vigor and things are pretty confusing on their part, and due to the disinterest of nation and the vigor-less leadership of APDM, government hasn’t got any real threats. Though they are now worried from the lawyer front and their recent tussle with media. On the other side, Benazir is running from London to New York to Dubai to please united states and is firing statement over statement like giving access to Dr. Abdul Qadeeer Khan, and to allow NATO to strike at Taliban wherever they want, and however. Deal between her and Musharraf is now as obvious as sun.

As all this happens, nation stands by and watches in apathy. They are not moving and they are not coming out on the streets as they are still waiting for the true leadership, not the likes of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
