Real and Artificial Happiness
At the end, it turns out that freedom - the ability to make up your mind and change your mind - is the friend to natural happiness, because, in essence, it allows one to choose among all those promising futures, and find the one that one would most enjoy. But freedom to choose - to change and make up your mind - is the enemy of artificial happiness.
Artificial happiness is more or less similar as real, enduring and sustainable as the kind of happiness you stumble upon when you get exactly what you were aiming for. More often than not, you just stuck to the artificial happiness. Apparently, whatever you are ’stuck’ with, you seem to be happier with.
Artificial happiness is another name for compromise. If a boy and girl are friends, and if one them cheats on other partner, the other partner can always move over to new destinations. But when the cheating happens between a couple tied up in wedding-bond, they, most of the time, live with it. Especially in our country, the ladies endure, sustain and succumb to it. Then is the artificial happiness is akin to real happiness?
