Progress of the West
Some people like talking about the “progress” of the West. Progress where anxiety pills and anti-depressants are a million dollar business. Progress where people are committing suicide every day. Progress where murder and rape is common. Progress where drug addiction is common. Progress where divorce is common. Progress where crime, transgression, oppression, exploitation, robbery and fraud is common.
There is one progress which Allah talks about. This progress is the solution to all problems. This is the progress of Eman.
Those who become Muslim in developed countries realize what their country’s civilization and laws, which have been fabricated from mans whims and desires, have done to them, and they realize the extent of the misery in which people in developed countries are living. They see how prevalent psychological illnesses, nervous breakdowns, insanity, drug and alcohol abuse and suicides are, despite the technological advances and great number of discoveries and inventions and modern systems of management. This is because all of that is concerned only with the physical and the outward, but it neglects the inward and fails to nourish and nurture the soul.

I only see the bad side of not following the orders of Allah. You preach the love of material things. Please tell me, how have “developed” countries been able to achieve happiness with material things and why do rich people commit suicide?

At least in the developed nations no one blows up the other person in the name of Jihad. At least no one asks the woman to cover up in a burkha just because the guy cant keep his piece of meat in his pants in control.
West rocks. The muslim world is still centuries away from civilization. Unfortunately.

“following the orders of Allah”. How do you know what are His orders? You only believe in what some illiterate mullah has told you, or what you have read in translations made by men who were illiterate by today’s standards. You have to use whatever little intelligence you have to decide what is right and what is wrong. Even saying that western civilization is bad because some rich people there commit suicide is against the orders of Allah. Look in your own backyard first. There are many Muslims who also use traquillizers, some also kill themselves, and some are also very unhappy. So you can’t say that Muslim societies are perfect.

Philip, it is the West who creates suicide bombers by commiting horrendous crimes against muslims. At lease no one brainwashes girls in developing countries to take their clothes off because they need to see every girl naked.
Mr Lakhani, I know the orers of Allah through Quran and Hadith. Yes, tons of muslims use tranquilizers, commit suicide and are unhappy because they have battered their soul through sins. Western civilization is not bad, it is not following the orders of Allah that results in problems, be it the West or Pakistan. Muslims societies are at their worst today. However, no one rants about Muslim societies.

PERCENTAGE OF PPL COMMITING SUICIDE IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES IS WAY LESS THAN THE WEST. PPL IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES COMMIT SUICIDE MAINLY OUT OF POVERTY N THT ALSO VERY LESS.WAT REASONS WUD U GIVE FOR THE MANY PPL WHO COMMIT SUICIDE IN THE WEST??

Virgin, how do you know that the number of people committing suicide in Muslim countries (especially Pakistan) is lower than that in the west? It seems you’ve never heard of suicide bombers! You’ve not heard about the poor people who kill themselves every day because of poverty (which is very much due to illiteracy and belief in black magic).
