Post-Election Scenario
As the election day has come close, the leadership of PPP and PML-N has also shown more unity publicly than before. They have not only done the seat adjustment, but also have vowed to fight fro the cause of democracy, if the elections are rigged.
PML-N and PPP has also announced that they will be working together to oust the General (retd) Pervez Musharraf from the President House. Nawaz Sharif announced that if the election were rigged they would start a nation-wide peaceful protests from 20th February. Zardari has expressed the same sentiments.
Pakistan is standing at the cross roads, and right now unity is needed in our rows, care and wisdom on the part of government. Nation is scared and very much apprehensive as what would happen on 19th February, when the election results would be announced. One hopes that everything remains peaceful for this crisis-ridden country, which has already suffered a lot.
The leadership of PPP and PML-N should also not opt to any lawless measures, because it is certain that the protests would not remain peaceful, and it would be only matter of time that they would turn into riots. We have experienced the same ghastly situation after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto on 27th December in Rawalpindi last year.

If they lose, they will allege rigging. If they win, they will say the elections were fair!
