Pollen Allergy
Just before the start of Spring season, almost everyone living in and around Rawalpindi/Islamabad keeps a mask or inhaler in her purse or in his briefcase. The reason for this is the infamous pollen allergy.
The truth is that its real cure is yet to be found. As soon as this season comes, the patients of this allergy get scared. They wistfully wish that somebody takes notice and make the cities clean of wild Toot tree. The patients who can manage it leave the city for two months to save themselves the painful misery. Just due to wild toot trees, the quantity of pollens becomes 1000 to 40000 per cubic metre. This tree is dangerous. It sucks the water from the earth and its wood is of no use at all. Capital Development Authority (CDA) has cut down some of these trees but to just make new roads or plazas.
The thing is that its government duty to make living in capital and suburbs worthwhile. If some previous government has done this blunder of huge magnitude, this one should step up and take the bold and blissful step of eradicating this menace from the lives of millions of people.

It is a pity that so many people suffer from pollen allergy in Islamabad. Especially when the proper treatment is safe, effective, and works within minutes.
Vaccination has not been very successful due to the extremely high pollen counts. The NIH has made a mess of things by giving nothing more than chemical water in the name of vaccination.
