Peacful War on Terror
While United States is pressurizing the new government to not to open the door of dialogue with the militants in the South and North Waziristan, the US war planes have started to hit the areas in the Pakistani territory without permission and they are targeting the houses without discrimination and causalities are increasing in that area, and people fleeing.
US Deputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte and Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher have almost threatened the new regime to not to rollback the policies of Pervez Musharraf in regard of war on terror. Bush has just announced a massive amount of aid to the new government in Pakistan and to put the icing on the cake he has also called the new premier and has congragulated him on the victory.
Perhaps that has overwhelmed Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani to no bounds and that is why the Makhdoom of Multan has compelled to say that he would support US war on terror and even President.
On the other side the tribal elders and seniors are very apprehensive over the attitude of US and the Prime Minister and they have warned in this regard. The thing is that the tribes are peace loving people and they also want to shirk out the militants from their area but in a peaceful way and not the way US is doing for the last 7 years without any success.

There is no such thing as “peaceful war on terror”. The extremists are determined to kill and they will do so whether the victims are muslims or not. This war is going to last many, many years and the only way to win it is to get them before they get you.
