there you go again with the reward-for-eman-being-worldly-wealth. there were no good just empires in the muslim world. empires are by their nature cruel and unjust. i say the wealth and power the ancient muslims were given was just a test so see how they respond to wealth and power, just like the muslims of today are being tested with disgrace and poverty.
muslim fell from power because even more stronger and ambitious powers emerged, like the Mongols and later the Europeans, whose domination continues to this day because the source of their power is knowledge

Those who become muslim in developed countries realize what their country’s civilization and laws, which have been fabricated from mans whims and desires, have done to them, and they realize the extent of the misery in which people in developed countries are living. They see how prevalent psychological illnesses, nervous breakdowns, insanity, drug and alcohol abuse and suicides are, despite the technological advances and great number of discoveries and inventions and modern systems of management. This is because all of that is concerned only with the physical and the outward, but it neglects the inward and fails to nourish and nurture the heart and soul.

it would be very rich and very strong as it was in the past for nearly 850 years . However it is not about the mosque being full that i usually talk about. it is giving up sins, doing taubah and returning to Allah.

History bears testimony that when muslims were praying 5 times a day, obeyed the orders of Allah, kept away from sins, Allah gave them wealth and power.

Yet when these people succumbed to comforts and luxuries, discarded the Quran and Hadith, resorted to oppression and cruelty, became power-drunk and arrogant and indulged openly in music, wine and women, fell from the glorious pinnacles of civilization and progress to the abyss of disgrace.

very well said. i agree with very word except the first paragraph but i will not get into an argument because i have already stated my position on that.

yes there is more crime here and people are very depressed but i do not talk about it because nobody says Pakistan is progressing.

i do not talk about a perfect society. I talk about a society as close to perfection as possible and i have never talked about isolationist worship.

Just to take a look at the condition of eman take a look on friday. For the friday prayer there isn't enough room to pray in the mosque and after a few hours for asr there are only 2 rows. Gives you an indication of the level of eman.

the foreign pwers have wealth and they have respect. they have technology and they, as any realist can see have a bright future.their societies are thriving(except for japan and parts of europe)
owr society is are falling apart.
u seem to not want to acknowledge that and hide behind the fact that lots of people there are depressed and that there is crime there(even though there is less crime there than in the muslim world).
u have to realise. there can be no perfect society of our making. even a totally muslim society can at best be fair to all segments of society,it is impossible for thing created by man to be perfect.
you believe in an impractical, impossible dream. tell me how do you plan to spread eman in the hearts of us pakistani, almost all of us of whome are muslim and who consider ourselves to have eman already.

and this life is for struggling to do good, not for isolationist worship.it is better to live a wholesome healthy family life making an honest living than living in seclusion and in constant worship. a muslim muslim must be a productive member of society. a muslim is supposed to help others and be a good example for the rest of the world.islam is supposed to be a blessing for everybody. through his action and word he should impress non-muslims. a muslim who spends his time avoiding the big bad man world outside is a coward and is wasting his life

there is nothing more nobler than to take a stand against injustice and corruption and working for the collective interest of your community.
but you cant enfore this ideal upon the everyday normal muslim.
