Pakistani Rafah Wall
1.5 million frustrated and angry Palestinians stormed into Egypt after romping the bordering Rafah wall to feed and clothe themselves, after getting over the edge due to the Israeli aggression and seizure. This time they have dared to enter Egypt, and next time they will enter Israel.
Stopping the disenchanted people is near to impossible. These people either die or do what they set on to do. No subjugation and exploitation can stand the hurtling of hapless people. These people doesn’t have anything to lose, and they resort to extremes.
Like Palestinians, Pakistanis are also reaching the brink of despair, and once they cross the borders of despair, no crisis would be able to stop them. Palestine resorted to such action because they didn’t have any other option. What options do we have right now in Pakistan?
We don’t have flour, yet we don’t have anywhere to turn to, to buy it or to complain against it. We don’t have power and gas, and we have no choice but to suffer. We don’t have jobs, money, medicine, and other basic necessities, and yet there is no chance of improvement. Things are boiling pretty hot under the surface, and one can see the sporadic outbursts of that frustration among the Pakistani masses.
It’s time government should act prudent and stop pretending that everything is fine. Things may be fine in the dozen posh areas of country, but they don’t really represent the whole of the country. It’s time government should pay heed to the voice of Pakistan, otherwise despotic walls are weaker than the Rafah wall.
