Pakistan needs more provinces and Provincial Autonomy

If Pakistan is to survive, it has to be made economically manageable, and the only way this can be done is to have more provinces.
Switzerland, with a population of only 8 million has 26 cantons, which is equivalent to one province having 300,000 people. No wonder Switzerland is one of the most efficient societies in the world. Pakistan, with a population of 170 million, is composed of four provinces). Naturally this causes inefficiency and corruption, and the masses feel that they are being governed by faceless robots in Islamabad.
The solution to Pakistan’s ills lies in dividing the country into more than 20 units. The present 27 divisions of the country can be converted into provinces, each with the quantum of autonomy recommended in the Pakistan Resolution. The Centre should have only three subjects or departments under its control: defence, communications and currency. Seventy percent of the revenue generated by each province/division should be retained by itself, the balance given to the centre for disbursement to other economically backward areas and for its own expenses.
If this is done, it won’t be long before Pakistan turns into another Asian Tiger.

@faky We must revive Pak-US relation. The existing provinces are enough I believe. We need to develop all areas rather than divide further.

Pakistan requires that the relation of the country with its allies in the war against terrorism is crucial. We must keep the relations worked out before it hurt as and terrorist take full advantage of it.
