Pakistan Ministers Party in New York While People are Displaced From Swat
Federal Ministers Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nazir Gondal accompanied President Asif Ali Zardari on his party cum begging tour of the world. While a military action initiated in Swat and Malakand, hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes and the country was going through its worst humanitarian crisis, the ministers, paid by the public to protect their interests, were partying in New york.
According to Pakpoint, the Ministers visited an Indian night club called Ghunghroo Night Club in New York city. They spent about 16,000 USD on Indian Dance Girls in the night club.

The Nation reported a federal minister of Pakistan was in New York on Saturday night on a private trip, where he went to a club at 40 Second Street, a famous tourist resort of Manhattan. Some “goras” misbehaved with the minister which enraged him too. However, the matter was checked in time and minister’s friends took him out of the club.
People of Pakistan should be the judge. See how democracy prevails. You have voted for these scumbags who flush public money on personal luxuries. What a shame.

Yes of course we can be blamed…….Pakistanis asked for democracy (or at least quasi-democracy) but since they used their emotions and sympathy –rather than brains — they voted in the incumbent administration.
The govt. has (in fairness to them) done a decent amount for the IDPs — but as i said earlier, the bulk of the work has been done by private Pakistanis, NGOs and charity groups.
In fact, IDP issue is what helped unite the country. We only unite during crises such as that. What a shame. Pakistanis are just not nationalistic enough.
Islam is a private matter…..and ever since it became so public and embroiled in state affairs (thanks to Zia) people are abusing Islam and using it to settle scores, to target people, and to use it as a weapon. This is not Islam.
I agree that this govt. is corrupt. But we cant just keep blaming govt. for every single matter in life. Pakistanis should also take charge, think freely, debate, enjoy life but also work hard and work honestly. Help your neighbour and your society regardless of political or religious beliefs.
if we just keep this habit of pointing fingers at others all the time, we will remain in this haal
salute to the NGOs, local and int’L donors, and anyone else helping the IDPs rehabilitate and go back to their homes –including our national hero Shahid Afridi.

There has been almost nothing done for the IDPs by the government. Instead no one would believe the harsh treatment they got at the hands of the government. The media will never come out with most of the truth.
Those who helped the IDPs were the inhabitants of the camp areas and also volunteers. The money that the government begged for was to warm up the pits of their pockets.
Of course, we ourselves are to be blamed for voting for such nincompoops.

there is alot being done for IDPs,,,,more than you people are told.
Army, as well as NGOs and govt. (and international) organizations have been doing a lot — in fairness to all them.
Many of the IDPs have already gone back to their homes. Much work remains.
We should demand more from our leaders…but we should stop this habit of critisizing others when we ourselves are partly to blame

Around this time, Pakistan won the T20 World Cup and each players were given lakhs. Was it really necessary to do so, and how does the ministers party compare with cricket players being given lakhs and IDPs dying.

this is their reality… they even cheated people in their slogan.
They should publish it as :
“Roti kapra or makan (baich kar)
ayashi karna humara kaam”
