Only Allah can save Pakistan

World Anti Corruption Day 2009.jpg

I don’t know whether I should laugh or weep. An advertisement printed in Dawn on 9th December asks the people of Pakistan to help in the fight against corruption. Nothing wrong there, except that the ad contains photographs of those PPP personnel who are known to have looted the country. The president and his spouse of course are known beneficiaries of Musharraf’s notorious National Reconciliation Ordinance, which enabled the couple to return to Pakistan and paved the way for Zardari to become president. The prime minister’s photo is also there.

It will be remembered that he offered to resign if it could be proved that his wife’s bank loans had been written off. Although Dawn published the news of NAB having written off loans in his wife’s name, he still continues in office. When such shameless crooks are in charge of the country, only Allah can save it.

Look at it another way. They’ve printed the pictures of the most corrupt politicians in the ad itself so that people have no trouble identifying them :D

that is true I agree. This is the job of print media and electronic. They show these people as angels! That they begin to vote for them again and again. The people of Pakistan are crazy and for the current situation I blame them COMPLETELY!

Well done Shakir for Pictures of three curses. Question remains that why Allah should save Pakistan. We have all negative characters of nations of all prophets and no one can match our corruption, lies and unjustice. Perhaps Allah will save Pakistan becuse of vitimsm of these crimes.

Pakistan will be saved when we get rid of these militants. They are definitely on the wrong track. The video released by Adam Gadgahn states that these are Un-Islamic bombings. What are Islamic bombings?? How can one kill Muslim armies and call it Islamic!!

@hina safdar. Just finishing corruption wont do it. Don’t u guys think that militancy is a huge problem for Pakistan and we are not doing enough to stop it. Which in turn is making the media ineffective.

@ Hira Mir: corruption is the reason why people turn to militancy. If our leaders, civil servants and others were honest, the country would have plenty of money to spend on health, education, welfare and infrastructure. People would then have jobs and militants would never be able to recruit others to their cause.

@shakir. I cudnt agree to you more. Give the money a people to iive and they would not want to die. Corruption in a case does relate to growing extremism. People are poor and seminaries provide them with a living thus they are turned towards them and then converted into militants.
