I think that world is already gripped in such a mess that U.S being the supreme world power can’t afford to escalate the situation. Instead it will try its best to take a different approach to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan particularly in Iraq which was subject of high level of criticism in bush administration. Secondly I also think that current financial crisis has compounded problems for US so it would obviously become imperative to devote focus towards resolving that issue as it has hampered its internal economic system. So I think pressure to allocate more energies and funds towards that problem would demand different approach.
