Not So Strange Admission
Pakistan People’s Party is now clearly admitting publicly that they are toeing the line of Americans in every affair and they intend to do so no matter what, and our Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has already said that we cannot fight with Americans and cannot even think about it, and he has made it crystal clear that we are lackeys and not the choosers.
President Asif Ali Zardari is the man who has tied up the whole nation in this junk and while enjoys the NRO, we sulk in silence. On the incident last month in which Pakistani troops allegedly fired at US aircraft, Zardari said: “It was merely an incident, and while incidents do happen, they are not important.” He acknowledged that the US was carrying out Predator missile strikes on Pakistani soil with his government’s consent. “We have an understanding, in the sense that we’re going after an enemy together.”
Zardari has made himself very clear and had he uttered those words before elections, he would have known his standing even in the Nawabshah.
Zardari now needs everything from the United States. “We need helicopters, we need night goggles, we need equipment of that sort, and we need money, lots of them,” says Zardari.
