Niche

In these testing and competition-rich times, where everybody is doing everything and there is so much information and resources available for virtually everything, how could one establish his identity? That’s a burning question.

The answer to this ever-arising question is: develop a Niche. Find out yourself a specialty and improve on it. For example, take the blog phenomenon. A blog about anything or everything is less likely to retain its readership than a blog targeting a specific area. In a pot-pouri blog, the readers will frustrate as to find somethings to their interest and other just useless.

Perspectives and interests will collide and traffic will go away. If one post of your’s interest some, the same post will make somebody vomit. If one post about how to swim might prove to be a life-saver for Ashraf, it will repel Mano as she has hydro-phobia. If a post about Oracle database will make me happy to no end, it will make any SQL Server enthusiast livid.

So find and niche and stick to it. Be predictable and comfortable to your readers as they are the ones who are the life-blood of your blog. But yes provided you are not just writing for you and your cat.
