New Governor : Old Rivalry
Salman Taseer has been appointed as the new governor of Punjab, and he has been approved duly by the President General (r) Pervez Musharraf and America Bahadur. Asif Ali Zardari broke this news to Khawaja Asif of PML-N in passing, and PML-N was at fire instantly.
PML-N knows Salman Taseer for a long long time. In the early nineties, Salman Taseer along with some other connections, defamed and targeted the Sharif family, and even tried to create a rift between the Sharif brothers. He was also very instrumental in making scandals against the Sharif brothers.
In the previous caretaker government, the same Salman was the minister and was a vocal supporter of the Musharraf and an open enemy of Nawaz Sharif. Salman Taseer also runs a paper Daily Times and a T.V channel Business Plus and he uses both of them to defame Nawaz Sharif.
Now how could such a governor by accepted to PML-N, and the questions is as why Zardari appointed him?
