New Approach on War Against Terror
United States is ready to leave Pervez Musharraf for his war on terror, and that is understandable because America has every right to defend his own interest in the region. But not, I repeat, certainly not at the cost of the lives and properties of Pakistanis.
New government in Pakistan is hinting at changing the policy in the FATA area of the country and they are more inclined towards the dialogue instead of the use of force. Both Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif have done well to convey a clear message to US in that regard, though Yousuf Raza Gillani the new premier and Madam Speaker Fahimda Mirza has weirdly announced to support the cause of US. They need to consult their leaders first in this regard.
US Deputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte and Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher have been told clearly by the leadership of Pakistan Democratic Alliance that now all the decisions would be taken up by the parliament and the writ of the parliament will be implemented in the FATA area.
