Nawaz supports multi-pronged strategy to tackle terrorism
Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif reviewed the positives and negative political implications of remaining in the coalition in the context of operations in Balochistan and NWFP, the President’s impeachment, the rising inflation and the judges’ issue.
It is assimilated that Nawaz Sharif believes that the government should adopt a multi-pronged strategy to tackle militancy in both NWFP and Balochistan. The prime concern for Sharif is the use of force in these provinces. He believes that the use of force will have long-term implications on the stability of the country. While chairing a meeting Nawaz Sharif said, “The views of locals should be honored. The government should also introduce a comprehensive developmental programme to address their grievances.” As some forces were active to trouble Pakistan, he said.
