Musharraf Restores Sindh High Court Judiciary: Big Blow to Lawyers’ Movement and PML-N
While Nawaz Sharif and his PML-N is trapped by Asif Ali Zardari’s sequel of dialogues, President Pervez Musharraf has struck, well under the belt.
According to the News, Musharraf has signed a notification, reinstating five regular and three additional judges of Sindh High Court.
The summary is being forwarded to Attorney General’s office after the signature.
A summary is also being reviewed for restatement of some of deposed judges of Lahore High Court.
The signature of the notification by the President confirms reports that some of the deposed judges had already accepted the offer of their restoration.
It was done after Musharraf met the Chaudhries, while ruling coalition was engaged nego-games. This move will seriously affect Lawyers’ movement which is already shaken by the Pied Paper and indecisive Nawaz Sharif.
