Musharraf is Setting
The sun of Pervez Musharraf, the tinpot dictator who destroyed the shebang with as much brutality as possible, is setting and it is manifested with the turncoats again turning their coats at moment’s notice. As the winds change their directions, the lotas are also weighing their wings to fly towards new pastures.
Pakistan People’s Party-Sherpao and other MPAs who actively backed and participated in the presidential elections in October 2007 have now supported the impeachment of Pervez Musharraf. MQM also showed a cold attitude and just gave the gesture of boycott. Almost all PML-Q lotas left Musharraf and same is the case with the independents.
This politics of opportunistism is at full display in the all the provincial assemblies where the people who reaped the benefits of power and pelf and privileges during the dark era of Musharraf, are now voting against him and supporting his impeachment by the ruling coalition of PPP and PML-N.
Will Musharraf go now before getting impeached?
