Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai, Yeh Vote Ju Tum Ko daita Hai

It seems that elections are likely to be held in Pakistan at the end of this year or at the start of next year. Elections in the motherland come and go. Sometimes they come early and sometimes they came late, but they have got a habit to come after all.

I have seen some five or six elections in my life. In all those elections, I have observed that same faces are elected, no matter who forms the government. Current faces are also relative to each other. One relative is in the ruling party, and one is in the opposition. Behind the scene they all are same.

You don’t see these birds after the elections. They only migrate to their areas, when elections draw near. They become very sweet, mellifluous and generous, when the election season comes but they shed their artificial skin once they get the votes.

Why not have a change this time? Why not elect some new faces? Why not just eradicate these seasoned politicians? Why not do a favour to the homeland by not electing these Chaudhris, Khans, Tawans, Legharis, Nawabs, Sardars, Chattas, Wattoos, Meeranis, Saieens, Mazaris, Noons, etc.

Why not elect someone who is from us? Who knows what the poverty is, who knows what the pain is, who knows what the suffering is, who knows what it is when the justice is delayed, who knows what it is like to not eat for 2 days, who knows what it is to get raped by some influential person, who knows what it is to get robbed by the robbers and police, who knows what it is to die without medicine, who knows what it is to spend the month just within Rs.5000, who knows what it takes to get independence.

Vote, but vote for yourself.

You are right Fahd !! we shall vote to elect someone who is from us.. someone who knows and has experienced poverty himself…
But wait !!!!!!!! it just came to my mind that we have already done that. Done that not once but five times in a row..

We elected people from our own middle class - people of liaqatabad, ghareebadad , and AZIZABAD. So we have already been doing this..

So lets again vote to elect someone who knows what poverty is — so he can make arrangements for himself so as never to experience it - the poverty - again.

    Lets Vote !!
