Makhdoom For PM anyway
Asif Ali Zardari is, according to the latest news, has decided over the name of Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is from the south of the Punjab. His earlier preference was Yousuf Raza Gillani, who excused himself from the nomination on personal reason, and then the name of Shah Mehmood was finalized.
After the nomination for the speaker from Sindh and of deputy speaker from NWFP, chances were virtually none that Makhdoom Amin Fahim would succeed in getting any success for the top job from the Pakistan People’s Party. Makhdoom knew and that is why he started meeting with the key players in the establishment, and now he intends to rock the boat of Zardari.
He could be the new Farooq Leghari from the cadres of PPP. He would tout the view that he is the real successor for the party of Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated last year horrendously in Rawalpindi, and he would flaunt the last book of BB. Now it would be interesting to see as how Zardari tackles this new challenge.
