In your very first comment you said people in arranged marriages get sick of each other in a year or so and then you quoted that you are enjoying your own marriage that was arranged and it has been
over 30 years now. After a while you said girls and boys should be allowed to mix, now you’re telling me to accept that in the majority of the muslim world men marry women they’ve never seen and are happy with it.

Wrong, Mr. Yusha. In the Muslim world, the vast majority of men marry women they have never seen. And apparently they are satisfied with it. This is a fact which you cannot deny.

looks like you are in favour of the old fashioned arranged marriages. I think people can choose their wife in college or marry their cousin. Personally, i dont think too many people would want to marry someone who they have never spoken to.

By getting to “know” each other, what exactly do you mean? How long do you think it will take for them to get to “know” each other? Men and women have been married for years (in arranged marriages) and yet they do not know many things about each other.

A man may think he’s marrying a sixteen year old beauty, but on his wedding night he discovers his wife is a fifty year old widow. Be careful when you marry (or marry again), it might happen to you!
