Long March Progresses
Up till the latest news, the participants of the Long March were leaving the Multan city, where they were received by the deposed chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary. Lawyers, members of civil society, activists of Pakistan Muslim League and APDM are in the procession, and the atmosphere is electrifying.
The caravans of lawyers are converging from Balochistan and Sindh in the Punjab, and their next destination is Lahore. From Lahore, the huge procession with overflowing intensity would hurled towards Islamabad, and the toadies cum cronies of Pervez Musharraf are already trembling, and the NRO of Zardari is getting yellow.
The arrival of Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif would only add to the passion and the tempo, and that would be swell for the movement. The thing is that the silent majority of the Pakistanis are with them, and in the form of this Long March the hapless people of Pakistan have found a voice, and now they have to come out.
The government of Pakistan People Party should do some sensible steps, and they shouldn’t be stopping the lawyers and the Long March, otherwise they would be vanished by this storm of black coat.
