Let Go
How many times have you felt like you’re bamboozled under umpteen zillion backlogged blogs, comments, emails, feeds, books, articles, journals, magazines, and printouts? Do you ever feel that you’re hopelessly and pathetically behind, with so much new stuff created every day that you can never cope with at least in this life?
Trying to bring together every corner results in chaos, which results in frustration and nail biting and ultimately tears and self persecution. In this information age, there is a new term for this kind of thing: Information Anxiety. This endemic is the prime characteristic of Information junkies. There is so much information out there and so much to do everyday that it’s a wonder anyone can do anything useful.
Things get uglier, when this universal phenomenon of keeping up with everything starts colliding with something real critical like preparing for exams and trying to grab emails, blogs and feeds. I often have a dream where I am running toward something, but I never get any closer, no matter whatever I do? That’s what life feels like many days, I reckon. We all juggle every day, and struggle to keep up in our lives and feel sorry for ourself when nothing gets done.
Don’t push yourself too hard, relax. Don’t be an information junkie, instead be an information manager and the million dollar tip is: Let Go.
