King and Princess

A couple of days ago, I turned on my television set to tune into the talks shows across the T.V channels of GEO, ARYONEWORLD, AAJ, Express and Hum hoping to get a glimpse of what’s actually happening and what the analysts are saying in order to learn more about the things and to form my opinion with the input of feedback and tips.

I remember hearing from one host of a show on GEO that Asif Ali Zardari’s campaign manager or is she the information minister of the Pakistani government, Sherry Rehman had said, “Zardari won’t do many appeals to United States and will carry on the relations with US until he is treated with respect and dignity.” I thought I heard wrong. I didn’t believe my ears. Then I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Dignity and respect??? Someone should tell Sherry Rehman and her boss that dignity is within the individual and respect is something that has to be earned! We are already seeing the continuation of the Musharraf reign of subjugation with the cloistering of Sherry.

This is a democracy not a monarchy, and Sherry is no princess and Zardari is no king.

I dont know who will come to defend the president sb infront of media after sherry madam. Qaira and Farzana Raja faced severe bashings before her and they are not seen much now. I think its getting funny! surely they acknowledge neither the media not the people are so silly to fall for their public utterings. What astonishes me is that who shall vote for PPP in the next election?!? or is it going to be engineered. Do we have a gallop poll for the present govt’s popularity?
