Khans demonstrating in London against Musharraf
Ms. Jemima Khan (shouldn’t she be Goldsmith now?), former wife of Imran Khan, Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician and president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Justice Party), will be staging a “noisy” demonstration on Monday against Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, outside 10 Downing Street, London.
In an interview with Sunday Express, Jemima Khan, said: “I will be protesting against Gordon Brown’s continued support for Pakistan’s dictator. I will be joined by politicians, lawyers, doctors, human rights activists, journalists and ordinary Pakistanis.
“We want to know why our Prime Minister is hosting a constitutionally illegal leader when many hundreds of political activists, lawyers and judges in Pakistan remain in prison or under house arrest and when the media there is still restricted.”
Jemima Khan’s demonstration will follow protests by Amnesty International Saturday and a rally on Friday outside the Royal United Services Institute in Whitehall.
President Musharraf, arrived in London on Friday and is busy in hosting and receiving dinners at the moment.
Imran Khan is expected to join this demonstration in a bid to disrupt President Musharraf’s meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Almost every mullah I know will say that Imran and Jemima should not come within ten feet of each other. But then, most mullahs know very little about life in the twenty first century!
