Karachi Bomb Blasts: Why, Who and What Next?

Karachi went through a Bloody Monday when series of 7 blasts ripped through ethnic localities, killing 2 and injuring more than 50 people. Here is how it happened:

  • Blast 1 & 2: First in a pile of garbage and second at road side (footpath) in Banaras area.
  • Blast 3: Explosion ripped through a mini truck in North Nazimabad area of Shahra-e-Noor Jehan near Sohail mosque.
  • Blast 4: In a motor cycle in Qasba colony area.
  • Blast 5: Bicycle blast in Manghopir.
  • Blast 6 & 7: Pak colony

The 7 blasts covered an area of 5 Kilometers in span of 1 hour.

Looking around for the motive, lets see what happened a day before the blasts ripped through Karachi:

The blasts may have occurred to spread panic in areas of Karachi where people of certain ethnicity dwell. The Government, as usual, has sprung into action and along with ’strong condemnation’ of the act, investigation committees are formed and severe punishments are promised for the culprits. However, we know that this is going to be another closed case in the series of such incidents Karachities experienced before.

May Allah have mercy on us!

Even a layman like me can guess who carried out these bombings. It wasn’t the Taliban or other religious outfit. That means it was the party which terrorized Karachi in the eighties and nineties.

I doubt it to be them. They have too much at stake and anything wayward will pull them down to 90’s, which they won’t want now.

I see strong Kabul connection here.

I feel it is simply a work of those party who uses Afghans as their strength and populations, in Colleges, University and even in the city areas.

Asalam-o-alikum,When giving a comment a suggestion or advice one must stay neutral. Any comment or an advice that has a political, ethnic or religious partiality in it can never convince any one.
Talibanisation is a fact in karachi, kidnapping and killing of Daniel pearl, Police encounter in DHA phase 2 ext with Alqaida terrorists, sactarian killing, attacks on mosques and imambargah, suicide attack of Nishter park, series of blast near PACC, Suicide attack on Sheraton hotel and 18 th october suicide attack on Mohterma Shaheed Bibi are few of the long list to prove.
One may disagree with the scale, intensity and spread of Taliban as MQM is claiming but can not disagree with there presence.
All the ground realities and what is happening around in Karachi, specially on exit or entry point of karachi is more than enough as an eye opener.
Let’s accept reality before its too late.
