Release Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

Judiciary and Next Government

It seems that the bone of contention between PML-N and PPP is the reinstatement of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary. PPP is still very much vague and unclear about this issue, while Nawaz Sharif has over-committed himself on this stance, and he has time and again declared that he cannot be a part of such a setup which donot look after the reinstatement of deposed judges.

That is what nation wants. PPP has got the lead no doubt about that, but it owes that to the sympathy vote which was the resultant of ghastly assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi on 27th December. People also want to see and listen some concrete meausres, and they are very aggressive about that.

This time the people of Pakistan doesn’t just want the change of face, rather they want some real change in the system, and they want to have free Pakistan, free from crisis and free from dictatorship.
