Joy vs Happiness

Its easy to obtain happiness and hard to achieve the joyous feeling. Happiness is all about materialistic things like having a nice job, pretty wife, plush car, big home, fat bank balance. Joy is all about what is unexpected and has nothing to do with material things.

We often hear the phrase,”Be happy, don’t worry”. The goal in life for an individual seems to be just happy. Thats wrong in my opinion. The happiness is short-lived and fleeting, whereas joy is lasting and its impact is permanent. Surely, its not easy to find happiness, but its by and large predictable and easily achievable through hard work. Big home, a car and a fat salary.

Joy is what we want in reality. Joy is associated with discovery or unpredictness. It comes from pursuing interests and passions that do not obviously result in happiness. Pursuing joy, not happiness will translate into one thing will dictate your career course. Study what you love, where your prediction is, not what your father say or not whose job market is swell. This world is full of money making job, and there are ways to get the money out of your passion.
