Knowledge makes a human civilized. Universities and Colleges are where knowledge is disseminated. Students, world over, not only gain knowledge and wisdom from the universities but they also learn the trade of life. From these prestigious institutes they learn about their basic rights and the plight of their country. They hatch dreams for their country, and they learn to strive for the betterment of the society.

In Pakistan, where all the things have become polluted, universities and colleges have also become stale and fearsome. Punjab University Lahore is one of those unfortunate institutes where not a leaf can move without the permission of Islami Jamiat Taliba, a student-cum-goon organization who virtually rules the area. In the name of Islam, they exploit the students and use them for their nefarious designs. They basic problem with these thugs is that they are intolerant, extremist and narrow-minded. They simply cannot tolerate anyone else in their area. They suffer from superiority complex. The stories of their torture and force are everywhere. They not only terrorize the students but also threaten the faculty members. Once they attacked vice-chancellor’s house, when Allama Allaouddin was the VC of Punjab University.

Mistreatment and deception with Imran Khan by them in Punjab University is an unforgettable and unforgivable incident. Jamiat feared that if Imran Khan was offered a free hand by them in Punjab University, then Imran would become the biggest leader there and the role and rule of Jamiat will be finished. Some people are also speculating that Punjab government used money to humiliate Imran Khan. Whatever is the case, Jamiat has been exposed and due to the massive protests and rallies of students throughout university campuses, IJT is on the run, and people are really relieved at that.

Imran Khan may not be one of the shrewdest politician of this age, but he is learning and learning fast. He is rapidly becoming a popular leader especially in youth because of his unwavering stance against emergency and the military rule. Imran has always been remaining the favorite of youth due to his famous 1992 World Cup win, Shaukat Khanum Cancer hospital and his charismatic personality. A terrorist outfit like Jamiat couldn’t tolerate such a person in their occupied premises and that is why they fell so low, which is actually their position.
