A school in Islamabad is organizing a debate on gays and lesbian rights.
A news item published in the daily Jang and the News states that an elite children’s school in the federal capital is all set to hold a debate on “Gay and Lesbian Rights” on July 16, 2012 in its main branch. The school is arranging this debate under its programme ‘Munich Debates’. It is important to mention here that it is believed that the schools chain is owned by a lady who is a senior office bearer of a rapidly emerging party in the country.
Ahmad Noorani, Islamabad based investigative journalist and part of the Jang and News group, takes credit for this news.

It is hinted that the school could be the City School, and the debate will be held at this I-8 campus in Islamabad.

So, which school is it really? and who is the lady mentioned in the news item?

mr. /ms. Amber i think you are taking gays as transgenders. Gays or lesbians are not ’3rd gender’ physically but yes they are opposite gender mentaly i-e gay means a man who loves man and lesbian means a lady who loves ladies.
[...] Who was this journalist, we do not know but a certain Mr. Ahmad Noorani takes credit for the story, tweeting his lament on a long story cut to a few lines and published without his name, which only casts [...]
I was wondering on the cause of the debate. I mean what actually is the debate going to be about? How should we treat them? Should they be allowed to live life like normally we do?
If those questions are going to be debated about, well then I would ask the authority, if the majority votes for yes then what will they do? And if the majority goes for No, then what will be their next step?
Based on Islamic Teachings, two things I would like to say:
1) Someone in one of the earlier posts pointed out about ‘Huquq-ul-Ibad.’ If look in depth, ‘huquq-ul-ibad’ does not point toward a specific gender to whom rights, repect, and help should be done.
2) Prophet Mohammed (S.A.S) sayings:
“Maa ki godh se qabar tak ilm haasil karo”
I do not see any genderization in that. That surely means every person of any age or gender has the right to acquire education and should continue to do so without limiting it to a certain point. In today’s world, not limiting it to one single Diploma, Graduate degree or PhD.
That said, If the debate agrees to promote the equal human rights and education for the Gays and Lesbain, then I guess we must support that.
As per the day of Judgment, I would be very happy to say to Allah and Prophet that I followed your guidance and sayings. If still I be punished then I will take it as I had made a mistake in understanding or fulfilling them.
~To Readers – Kindly correct me if I am wrong. Thanks in anticipation~
we are inviting wrath of Allah tabarak w taala who is going to stop this actvity? if none then wait for azab
Shameful activity and then we say that we should not be droned ?
Astaghfirullah…..Every human being has rights and ensuring that none of those rights is violated is what is called ‘Huqooq ul Ebad’ in Islam. But none of the actions has got any right to prevail just because somebody likes it. The gays and lesbians as humans have got rights which others or not allowed to violate but their actions, lesbianism and gayism, can not rightfully be preserved. Besides, here the rights of thousands detesting these actions will be violated if these actions are let to be discussed that freely. As they say, you are free to swirl as much as you can unless you touch my nose.
The prppagenda of un islamic and un ethical masses is spreading fastly through out the world in the name of freedom. We as muslims and Pakistanis have the duty to stand up against it and let the younger lot know what is good and what is bad. Religion can be the only surviver.
