Impeachment of Pervez Musharraf: Nawaz Sharif should stand firm
As the coalition of PPP, PML-N, JUI-F and ANP is getting ready to bring a ruling for impeachment of Pervez Musharraf in joint session of the Parliament, forces within and outside Pakistan are trying to maneuver a safe exit for Musharraf.
Most recently, Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Muqrin bin Abdul aziz Al Saud had meetings with President Pervez Musharraf, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and other important personalities.
According to Nusrat Javed of AAJ TV’s Bolta Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif is standing firm between Pervez Musharraf and his safe passage. Nawaz Sharif has already declined recommendations of US and British diplomats to accept safe and dignified exit of Musharraf. Now, the Saudis are involved as a last resort so as to negotiate a deal with Nawaz Sharif, may be by reminding him the good days he spent at the Suroor Palace.
This is a real test of Mian Nawaz Sharif’s statesmanship. He should not betray his mandate and Pervez Musharraf should be impeached and taken to court for his misdeeds.

Atleast a dictator was brave enough to allow media in its regime… to be free and critic too… that no politician has/had dared to do… and when it went over the neck… that dictator did the right thing that he should do as he is dictator and not a politician….
