HP Embarrassed
Hewlett-Packard, a firm having handsome share in printers’ market is in the midst of yet another embarrassing controversy.
In 2005, Hewlett-Packard (HP) filed a lawsuit against Karl Kamb Jr., that Karl was simultaneously running his own company and working in HP, and was siphoning off funds of HP to his own company Byd:sign. HP claimed $100 million in damages. In a contersuit in US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Kamb, while dening the HP’s accusation, files a lawsuit against HP’s alleged spying on Dell, its major rival.
It seems that the garbage has hit the fan there. Everybody is exposing everybody. News names and allegations are surfacing. This is a classic example of alleged industrial espionage and the greed for money from all the sides.
