Hopelessness
The clouds gently weep tears of sorrow and pain
As they bid farewell to the dying day
Droplets fall, and trickle down the walls
Of old, weathered buildings, down to the floor
Into a puddle where he sits and finds
His reflection staring right back into his eyes
Ripples start forming, his face it distorts
He never knew tears from heaven contort
Hope is hopeless
Hiding away in the corner of his mind
Gazing, it sees
That there is no place left for time
Time is nothing
It has no truth, not worth, nor innocence
A pathetic excuse for of life
No logic, no meaning, no sense
Alone on this bench, he looks up at the stars
And feels a cool breeze as it gently does pass
A never-ending blanket, riveted with diamonds
Even the dreariest heart would be enlightened
Loneliness prevails, overcome by madness
The death of each day an utter sadness
So here he remains, and as each day closes
Silence deafens him and darkness encloses…
Hope is hopeless
Hiding away in the corner of his mind
Gazing, it sees
That there is no place left for time
Time is nothing
It has no truth, not worth, nor innocence
A pathetic excuse for of life
No logic, no meaning, no sense…
